The Museum’s Society of Friends organise a series of lectures twice a year and the Spring series opens with a talk by Lt Colonel Derek Armitage on 13th March looking at the first wartime glider operation, “Freshman”. On April 10th Malcolm Torrent looks at the music of band of the Life Guards, which formed in 1795. Finally, on May 15th Sir Winston Churchill will be the subject of a lecture by Paul Courtnay, looking at the life of this remarkable leader.
All lectures start at 7.30pm and have an interval for refreshments. Tickets are £5 and should be booked in advance with the museum.
