Winter weather at Firs Lodge Stockbridge

This is where the “Ski Lodge” balcony looks right at home – heavy snowfall in January makes the Lodge look very welcoming; it also tests the insulation and the Mitsubishi Airsource Heatpump to the limit! Happily, everything works just as it should, and the interior of the building remains warm, with the underfloor heating really coming into its own. Despite the adverse weather conditions, the Lodge is proving how well designed and built it is – very capable of coping with the conditions, which is more than can be said for the roads outside….

Difficult conditions meant a day with schools closed for the kids and working from home for parents – so, an ideal opportunity to go sledging on nearby Winton Hill!
